I have always been fascinated by the Visual arts. At an early age, I became intrigued by photography, and anything related to the power of seeing...what art was and the powerful affect it could make on us as human beings by the mere sight of an image that could bring us back to the past, present and future.
My photos are a vision of how I see the world, as I move on this journey called life. I photograph what touches me, what connects me with my soul. The images do not repeat themselves. They are a moment in me that can’t be lived again. It's a unique special moment that's been captured.
I immigrated from Brazil to the U.S. at the age of 17 and fell in love with this country. I lived in NYC at one of the most interesting times of art in the '80's. Times of Warhol, Basquiat, De Palma, Holman...I was able to insert myself in the underground art world and was amazed with the world I was seeing. My love for travel exposed me to many new cultures, which are portrayed in my body of photographic work.
I hope you can connect with the images you see...
